I currently have three things on my mind:
University. Looks like I'm not going to get to do the modules I want, which may well end up with me stuck reading crappy poetry from people who were obscure in their own time (around four hundred years ago) and are no less obscure now. Because they are rubbish. If they tell me that the Shakespeare course clashes with Creative Writing I will be so annoyed; you would think that on my English degree I would have the opportunity to study more than a handful of sonnets.
Fitness. Or more accurately, my general lack thereof. I've put on three stone since I came to uni and I want to get rid of it again, but exercise is so boring, gym membership is so expensive and I just like to eat! Next step, calorie controlled diet, floor exercises and lots of DDR. I've got a couple of things coming up that I want to look reasonably slim for, one of which is...
Costuming. The first rule of costuming for an event like a convention is "Never dress up like an attractive woman unless you are an attractive woman", and I feel as though I may break that rule if I continue with my plans for a twi'lek Jedi outfit. I've got plans underway for making the lekku, and I'm just waiting on the wisdom of some more experienced people to check those plans before I get cracking. My SO's planning a Jedi too - human, so at least there's no prosthetics there, but it means two sets of accessories and three lightsabers total. It'll be great fun!
